10 pin automotive connector and housing is made of injection molding PBT and PA66. Both PA66 and PBT are thermoplastics.

 

PA66 is widely used in automobile industry, instrument housing and other products that require resistance and high strength requirements.

 

The advantages of PBT are that it can maintain good electrical performance, electrical insulation and good molding properties in a humid environment. Based on these characteristics of PBT, the automotive industry and electronic demand for PBT is also growing rapidly.

01 Contact resistance

High quality connector should have low and stable contact resistance. The contact resistance of the connector ranges from a few millions to tens of millions.

 

02 Insulation resistance

Insulation resistance is a measure of the insulation performance between the contacts of electrical connectors and between the contacts and the housing. The order of magnitude ranges from hundreds of megabytes to thousands of megabytes.

 

03 Electrical strength

Electrical strength, or voltage and dielectric voltage resistance, is the ability to withstand the rated test voltage between the contacts of the connector or between the contacts and the housing.
